Yasir Mahmood Securities (Private) Limited (YMS) was incorporated on June 5, 2006 as a private limited company under the Companies Ordinance, 1984, and is principally engaged in the business of securities brokerage. Our registered office is located at Room No. 205, 2nd Floor, LSE Building, 19-Khayaban-e-Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore, Pakistan, with a branch office at 1st Floor, 52 Main Boulevard, Phase 6, DHA, Lahore.
We are a Trading Right Entitlement Certificate (TREC) Holder of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), TREC No. 294, with roots in the exchange floor dating back to 1992, giving us over three decades of standing in Pakistan's capital markets.

YMS is led by Dr. Yasir Mahmood, CEO and a veteran of Pakistan's capital markets whose relationship with the exchange began in 1990, working alongside his father, the late M. Ashraf Mahmood, a Director of the Lahore Stock Exchange. Dr. Mahmood has run a brokerage firm under his own name at the Lahore Stock Exchange since 1992.
His leadership within the exchange itself has been extensive: Chairman of the LSE Public Relations Committee (1993), Vice President of LSE (1994), and unanimously elected President of LSE (1995) and later Chairman of LSE (2001). As Chairman, he led the demutualisation and integration of LSE, a process that played a pivotal role in the formation of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). He has also served as a Director on the boards of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan (1994, 1995, 2001), the Pakistan Credit Rating Agency (PACRA) (1995, 2001), and the National Clearing Company of Pakistan (2001).
Dr. Mahmood is a former Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Stock Brokers Association (PSBA), a former Director of the Institute of Financial Markets of Pakistan (IFMP), and a former member of the Consultative Group on Capital Market formed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).
A surgeon by training (MBBS, Allama Iqbal Medical College, 1987) turned finance professional, Dr. Mahmood holds an MBA from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) and completed further training at the New York Institute of Finance in Securities Clearance, Settlement & Accounting, and International Corporate Finance, along with a training programme on financial analysis, portfolio management, and management of stock exchanges and securities companies.
Dr. Mahmood remains active in financial education. He currently teaches “Investing in the Stock Market” as an instructor at the Centre for Executive Education (CES), LUMS, and is a frequent speaker at senior-level training programs at the Institute of Bankers, the National Institute of Public Administration, the Pakistan Administrative Staff College, and LUMS.
