Pakistan strengthens automotive ties with China, eyes joint innovation in EV sector

Pakistan and China on Thursday agreed to enhance bilateral relations, with a particular focus on the rapidly growing automotive sector, Pakistan’s Consul General in Shanghai, Shehzad Ahmad Khan affirmed at the 2024 Taizhou International Automobile Industry Expo. Speaking at the opening ceremony of the four-day event, Khan said Taizhou played a pivotal role as a trailblazer in China’s automobile industry, according to the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). He also praised the city’s innovative achievements and its substantial contributions to the global market. Highlighting the importance of technological collaboration, Khan emphasised the potential for groundbreaking advancements in automotive technology through joint efforts between Pakistani and Chinese enterprises.
