PRA warns business establishments

The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has warned that business establishments will be sealed in the event of unnecessary delays or non-payment of taxes. The announcement came during a departmental meeting chaired by PRA Chairman Moazzam Iqbal Sipra where officials were briefed on measures to ensure that no provincial or federal institution issues licenses to entities that are not registered with the Authority. The meeting also reviewed recommendations for amendments to existing laws, and the legal wing was instructed to forward a summary to the law department for further action. During the session, sector-wise performance targets were discussed, and officers were directed to meet their revenue recovery goals across 11 new sectors by November 14. It was also decided to upgrade the PRA’s monitoring dashboard to enable real-time tracking of registered businesses and tax records across the province.
