Mari Energies announces gas discovery in Dera Bugti

Mari Energies Limited announced on Monday a gas discovery at the Tibri-1 exploratory well, drilled in the Kalchas South Block, located in Dera Bugti District, Balochistan. “Kalchas South joint venture comprises United Energy Pakistan Limited (UEPL) as Operator with a 46% working interest, Mari Energies Limited with 44% working interest, and Dewan Petroleum (Pvt.) Limited (DPL) holding 10% working interest,” the company wrote in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today. The notice said that Tibri-1 was the first exploratory well drilled in the Kalchas South Block, which was spudded on November 11, 2025, and drilled down to a total depth of 7,170 feet.
