PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Run Out of Answers
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed Wednesday's session lower, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index coming under pressure as broad-based selling dominated the market amid renewed geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran. Investor sentiment remained subdued as rising tensions between Washington and Tehran heightened concerns over potential disruptions to global oil supplies. The sharp increase in crude prices, to $92 per barrel, also raised concerns weighing on market sentiment. The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 174,429.92, showing a decrease of 1,703.64 points or 0.97%. The index traded in a range of 2,151.58 points, touching an intraday high of 176,255.64 (+122.08 points) and a low of 174,104.06 (-2,029.50 points).
