Volatility at bourse, KSE-100 down 1,000 points
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed volatile trading on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index shedding over 1,000 points during the trading session. At 11:35am, the benchmark index was hovering at 174,993.83, down by 1,049.15 points or 0.60%. Selling was observed in key sectors, including automobile assemblers, cement, fertiliser, oil and gas exploration companies, OMCs, power generation and refinery. Index-heavy stocks, including ARL, PRL, HUBCO, OGDC, POL, PPL, PSO, MCB, NBP and UBL, traded in the red.
