PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Run Out of Road

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed Monday's session marginally lower, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index shedding nearly 120 points as heavy selling in power, fertilizer, technology, and cement stocks offset strong gains in oil & gas exploration and refinery sectors. Investor sentiment remained cautious as oil prices rose amid conflicting signals from the United States and Iran over efforts to end the conflict and reopen the strategically important Strait of Hormuz, keeping concerns over regional energy supplies and geopolitical risks elevated. The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 181,310.28, showing a decrease of 119.74 points or 0.07%. The index traded in a range of 1,527.28 points, touching an intraday high of 182,347.50 (+917.48 points) and a low of 180,820.22 (-609.80 points).
