PSX Closing Bell: Green Surge
The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) closed Monday's session marginally higher, with the benchmark KSE-100 Index gaining nearly 398 points as strong buying in oil & gas marketing, exploration and refinery stocks offset losses in banks, cement and fertilizer sectors. Market sentiment remained supported by renewed interest in energy stocks as oil prices held firm amid concerns over potential supply disruptions. Tighter tanker movements through the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend heightened worries about crude supplies amid the ongoing US-Iran conflict, supporting oil-related equities at the local bourse. The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 180,502.44, showing an increase of 397.83 points or 0.22%. The index remained positive throughout the day, touching an intraday high of 181,158.86 (+1,054.25 points) and a low of 180,281.75 (+177.14 points).
