Textile exports rise 4% YoY to $1.6bn in July
Textile exports rose 3.91% year-on-year (YoY) to $1.64bn in July, driven by growth in knitwear and readymade garments, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) showed. On a month-on-month (MoM) basis, textile exports increased by 4.99% compared to $1.56bn in June 2026. The total exports as per the Balance of Payments (BOP) for July stood at $3.01bn, up 9.38% YoY compared to $2.75bn in July 2025, and rose 16.91% MoM. Textile Group products remained the major exportable goods for Pakistan in July, accounting for 54.36% of total exports. Key contributing products under the textile head were Knitwear ($441.43mn), Readymade Garments ($403.55mn), and Bed Wear ($281.28mn). Knitwear exports rose by 4.96%, while Readymade Garments exports increased by 6.06%. However, inflows through Bed Wear declined by 6.19%.
