Google officially opens Pakistan office

Google has officially opened its office in Pakistan, marking a significant development for the country’s technology sector and digital economy. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif inaugurated the Google Pakistan Office in the presence of Google Vice President Global Affairs Wilson L. White, David Weller and their team. The development was announced by Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja in a post on X, where she described the opening as an important step in Pakistan’s journey as a technology destination. Shaza Fatima Khawaja acknowledged the efforts of US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie Ashton Baker, the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), and the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication in making the development possible.
