Gold edges lower with focus on Fed minutes, rate path clues
Gold prices slipped on Wednesday as investors looked to minutes from the US Federal Reserve’s September meeting for indications on whether policymakers remain inclined to raise rates further. Spot gold eased 0.3% to $4,150.23 per ounce by 0145 GMT. US gold futures edged 0.2% lower to $4,177.60. Minutes of the latest Federal Open Market Committee meeting are due later in the day. “The yellow metal is likely to remain relatively stable with a mild downside bias,” said Frank Walbaum.
